Pooja Samani - Production Director

Company Name: International Research Networks

Location: London

Since graduating, I was actively looking for exposure to international business across a number of industries and began a career in conference production. After gaining experience, I joined IRN last year as the Production Director, where I am responsible for and manage all production. As well as producing exceptionally high quality and reputable summits from the existing portfolio, I have been lucky enough to conceptualise, research and produce new summits to cater to niche areas of varied markets.

The team here is great, very young, ambitious and dynamic and as well as recruiting and managing my own team of producers, I am able to overlook the sales and marketing functions. This makes IRN truly stand out from other companies as there is a real team spirit; everyone feels like they are working on a big project each time, instead of simply performing their part in the event cycle. If you have a good idea, new initiative or a moment of creativity, IRN makes it happen minus the usual bureaucracy! It was perfect for me to come in and not only develop my production skills even further, but I was able to train and develop in the specific areas that mattered most to me. And of course this means I love coming into work every day because I truly enjoy what I do. Hard work definitely gets excellent rewards here.

I am currently developing our annual summits and adding to my own portfolio to keep my own industry knowledge and technical production skills sharp, as well as training and managing my team of producers to launch and expand new portfolios.

Why is IRN such a brilliant place to work?

It’s simple; everyone’s individual talents and skills are valued, strengthened and rewarded – making it a workplace full of energy that results naturally in great work.
