Kate Cremin: Kate Cremin is a Marketing and Business Development Manager for a leading financial services firm. But of course that’s not how she started..
Early days: “I spent nine years working in Hong Kong, having initially gone there backpacking. I looked to marketing because I enjoyed the market research skills I had picked up while studying geography at university.
First role: I found a position in a young law firm where I set up the marketing department from scratch. I knew that I would be moving internationally and decided to take a CIM qualification to help me do that.
First CIM qualification: Coming from a legal firm where qualifications are held in high esteem by my colleagues, the CIM certificate gave me a clear professional gravitas. More importantly, the CIM is an internationally recognized standard, and was particularly useful when relocating to the UK in showing potential employers that my skills and experience met a certain benchmark”.
Today (and tomorrow): Kate works on all kinds of communications and campaigns from webinars to corporate events and traditional campaigns. “I am now studying again, to work towards celebrating chartered status and have really benefited from sharing ideas with m feyllow students!”
