Company Profile - BioFilm Limited

Europe’s No 1 producer of dissolvable thin film for use in the nutraceutical, cosmetics, woundcare, pharmaceuticals and medical professions.

Who are we?

What We Do?

BioFilm manufactures thin dissolvable and absorbable films which carry and release active ingredients.  In fact, we are Western Europe’s only fully integrated producer of such films.  ‘Fully integrated’ means we can take innovative concepts right through from initial research to development, manufacture, packaging and final delivery.  Combined with our flexible approach, this makes us unique in our ability to partner clients from the earliest stages of their projects through to market, thus enabling them to launch products quickly and cost effectively.

With our highly experienced R&D team on-site, concepts can be prototyped, tested and scaled up quickly to respond exactly to customer specifications.

Soluble strip technology is a relatively new development which allows small quantities of active ingredients to be delivered in a user-friendly format.  Adapting existing products such as oral sprays, liquids or tablets, or exploiting entirely new opportunities, BioFilm works closely with clients to create the most effective thin film product and process solutions.
