Overview

Norton Rose is a leading international legal practice.  We offer a full business law service to many of the world’s pre-eminent financial institutions and corporations from offices in Europe, Asia, Australia, Canada, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America and Central Asia.

Who are we?

Knowing how our clients’ businesses work and understanding what drives their industries is fundamental to us.  Our lawyers share industry knowledge and sector expertise across borders, enabling us to support our clients anywhere in the world.  We are strong in financial institutions; energy; infrastructure, mining and commodities; transport; technology and innovation; and pharmaceuticals and life sciences.

Training and Development

It is important to us that as a trainee you get as much exposure as possible. Therefore, as a trainee in London you will sit in one of our Banking, Corporate and Disputes teams and have the opportunity to apply for an international or client secondment. Our system allows trainees the widest possible exposure to different practice areas and international offices, in order to enable them to make the best and most informed choice of qualification area.

Throughout the training contract our learning and development programme will ensure trainees continue to develop and succeed at every stage in their career.

We also offer two summer vacation schemes to penultimate-year law students, which provide experience of at least two practice areas.  Securing a place on either scheme is subject to a successful application and interview. On both schemes students will have the opportunity to become immersed in our business and get a genuine feel for what it is like to work here.
