|The INA brand
|The company was founded in 1946, and achieved an industrial breakthrough in 1949 with the development of the needle roller and cage assembly by Georg Schaeffler. In 1952, an INA needle roller bearing replaced the previously used plain bearings in the transmission of the VW Beetle. Today, almost every modern passenger car contains INA engine and transmission components.
Variable cam timers and hydraulic bucket tappets ensure improved performance, reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions, and increased driving comfort in modern car engines. INA rolling bearings, engine components, and linear technology are characterized by a high level of quality and reliability.
|The FAG Brand
|In 1883, Friedrich Fischer designed a ball mill that, for the first time, allowed machines to be used to produce steel balls with high precision and in large volumes in Schweinfurt, Germany. This idea is considered the historic beginning of the rolling bearing industry, which then started its widespread success around the globe from Schweinfurt. Since its acquisition by INA-Holding Schaeffler KG in 2001, FAG has become a very important part of the Schaeffler Group.
Whether it is high-precision bearings for aerospace applications, sensor wheel bearings for passenger cars, or large-size bearings with outside diameters of over four meters for wind turbines, FAG products are the number one choice for all customers.
|The LuK Brand
|The LuK brand focuses exclusively on the automotive industry. The company co-founded by the Schaeffler brothers in Bühl, Germany in 1965 has been at the top in terms of engineering ever since its first innovative product – the diaphragm spring clutch – appeared on the market. The LuK Group has been part of the Schaeffler Group since 1999. Today, every third new car rolls out from the production line with a LuK clutch.
The company is working intensively on solutions for the automobile world of tomorrow, for example with the double-clutch transmission and components for continuously variable transmissions – for greater safety, comfort, and fewer emissions.
