Faccenda are a leading food company supplying quality fresh and convenience food solutions to an impressive range of customers within the retail and food service sectors.  We are looking for an impressive and ambitious graduate to join our Graduate Scheme and become one of our future business leaders.

What sets us apart is our heritage, strong values, commitment to each other and a passion to provide trusted food, every day, as we have done over more than five decades. We get people involved, work as a team and deliver for our customers. Our differentiator is that together, our people make the kind of business that our customers and suppliers want to work with and very much enjoy doing so.

It is not what we do but how we do it that makes the difference.

What’s the role?

Over three years you will spend time working on several different assignments, across a broad range of departments, each offering real responsibility from day one.

You’ll be joining the Logistics department and will rotate around the business and different sites to gain maximum exposure to the business. The logistics department has three core responsibilities:

  • Planning – planning schedules, balancing customer demands, reviewing performance and ensuring continuous improvement
  • Driver debriefing – planning driver routes, reviewing efficiency, resolving operational/logistical delays with appropriate solutions, working together with drivers to improve routes and performance
  • Management – of the logistics team – includes recruitment, KPI management, training and development, ensuring compliance is followed

We control our whole supply chain from our local British farms, through advanced manufacturing plants to the final product on the shelf. This ensures that customers receive a safe, secure product and that delivery comes via an excellent service from a transparent and integrated supply chain. You’ll play an important part in this process by working on varied projects focusing on the production processes, quality control, health and safety and team management.

Training & Development

Investment in people development is a core principle in our culture, ensuring you can learn, grow and have a rewarding career with us. We are a business where our people make the difference every day.

As well as bespoke, on-the-job development, you will also be offered the following learning and development opportunities:

  • A structured Induction Programme (Starting on day one)
  • Graduate Mentoring Programme
  • Cross-functional business development opportunity
  • Safety training
  • Formal training linked to your Personal Development Plan
  • Relocation support if required

And this is just in your first year!

In the second year, the learning and development opportunities available to you will become more tailored and focused on your functional discipline. We also provide opportunities to study Post-Graduate Qualifications where appropriate for your development.

The Individual

You will have achieved a minimum of a 2.2 in any discipline (Supply Chain, Business Management or Logistics/Transport Management is desirable) and you’ll have a natural flair for leadership. We are looking for graduates who are:

  • Very personable and approachable
  • Team players
  • Adaptable to varied situations
  • Excellent communicators
  • Comfortable getting hands-on
  • Good at managing difficult situations
  • Driven to achieve results and find solutions
