We are a leading coater of silicone gel and solvent acrylic adhesives; offering high quality, bespoke solutions, backed up by professionalism & expertise.

Raleigh Coatings, located in Staffordshire, came into being in 1988. From wound care to automotive, we provide services to a vast range of industries.

Whatever the coating requirement, we invest time, effort and commitment to find the right solution for our customers. We help customers with their coating needs through solving problems, reducing costs and improving existing products.

Main Purpose of the Role

As an Operations Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to ensure maximum production output whilst maintaining quality within a clean and safe working environment.

Continually looking for ways to improve our service, you will work with the Production Team (led by the Operations Manager) to improve lead times and efficiencies in our process, whilst continuing to produce high quality output.

Alongside this, there will be a significant people leadership element to the role. You will be required to manage and motivate production operatives, adapting your approach to the individual personalities within the team.

On a typical day, you will work with your team to hit key production targets and ensure the team are focused and engaged. You will consistently be on the lookout for ways to improve efficiencies and will take action to solve any problems as they arise. Other day-to-day tasks are likely to include:

  • Providing fault diagnosis and solving problems
  • Recording quality issues
  • Attending regular production meetings
  • Error reporting
  • Production planning, taking into consideration available resource and overtime required
  • Authorising holiday requests and shift changes
  • Documenting absences

The Individual

We are looking for an ambitious individual to join our team - someone who is enthusiastic, positive and very personable and credible. We want someone who is naturally highly motivated and will thrive in a team environment and get the team on board.

Academically, we are looking for a 2:2 degree or higher or lean manufacturing qualifications complemented by team leading experience.

A background in engineering would be highly advantageous, but not essential, as well as experience of working in Operations or Supply Chain environments.

Please note that you must be willing to work shifts in the role of Shift Supervisor. A driving licence is also a requirement for the role.

Salary & Benefits

We know how hard our employees work and what a substantial contribution they make to businesses and because of this, we offer the people who join us a very attractive package.

  • A starting salary of £24,000 plus an annual shift allowance of £4,000
  • 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays)
  • Everyday healthcare benefits (free dental checks, free eye testing)
  • Private pension contributions
  • Progression into middle-management roles

Training Opportunities & Progression

A full training programme will be in place when you join to ensure you get not only the appropriate systems/processes training but also an understanding of how other areas of the business contribute to making Raleigh Coatings the success it is. This will include exposure to Sales, Production, Supply Chain, Labs and Operations.

Your drive and desire will be rewarded with excellent opportunities to progress at Raleigh. There is real opportunity for progression to middle management roles within the Operations Team, Supply Chain management, Production management and Project Engineering (for those with an engineering background).

If you think you have the drive, resilience and experience to succeed in this role, please apply now for immediate consideration.
